It''s not that easy to lift the terrorist tag specially when Maoist is continuing terrorize civilian using different name like YCL and beating government official even though maoist are part of the government them self. So it doesn''t make sense to me meeting Carter or Clinton is good enough reason for lift up the "terrorist" tag.

I think the US government will pay heed to the suggestion of Jimmy and might show some positive response, but only if Maoists changed their activities and accept their policy as a hard-lining and loosen their behaviour unlike earlier.

The meeting of Carter and Prtachanda has given new message to the world that Maoists are no more "terrorists" and this meeting will gain the public sentiment and make US government to take out the imposed "terrorist" tag.

i dont think that tag will remove by carter. as we all know that US govt policy is anti communisum and they never let any communist party arise. nepal is among less develope country where ncp (moist) are seems to be in strong hold. the fact is nepal have adequte vote to communist whether it may known as ncp moist or janamorcha
or cpm allied. every election showed that nepal have enough comunist vote. and the moists are exterminist, so i strongly think that US govt will never remove the tag of terrists for moist.
about 2 months back carter give a strong negative statement against bush.
